First of all, I would like to congratulate you on the acquisition of this wonderful piece of software. If you expect me to write a massive text file with step by step instructions, explaining exactly how to play me then forget it! I hate writing instructions (even more than sprouts), besides I think its more fun finding out how to play it for yourself. However I have enclosed a few hints & stuff on how to play the game.
IMPORTANT NOTE....
DO NOT WRITE PROTECT THESE DISKS - THE PROGRAM NEEDS TO SAVE DATA
WHEN SWAPPING ZONES, IF THE DISKS ARE WRITE PROTECTED THE GAME
WILL CRASH AT THIS POINT!
Keys :
During game...
Z : Left
X : Right
Return : Fire (you must have collected a weapon)
Shift : Jump
Enter (keypad) : Enter door (marked IN)
Escape : Quit game
P : Pause/Unpause
From title page...
Space : Start
Escape : Quit program & return to desktop (via hellos etc.)
S : Toggle speaker on/off
1 Meg / 2 Meg ?
Due to my over indulgence on the subject of samples, if you are a one meg owner you must use the one meg version of the game to do this load !Mr.Memory and you will be confronted with two large friendly boxes one fo which says 1Meg the other 2Meg simply click in one of these boxes and the appropriate version is selected.
If you own a 2 Meg machine, you can still run the 1 Meg version, it just ain't as fun.
How to run me...
To run me simply double click on the !Gyrinus2 icon.
Playing me...
On starting the game you are placed on a landscape with silly animated things and stuff. DON'T PANIC apart from falling off the platform, there ain't a way of geting killed here! Move to one of the two doors (marked EASY or FAIR) and press <ENTER>. You will now enter the appropriate zone.
The object of the game...
Basically collect all the FLASHING crystals (I've forgotten how many I put on each level), once you have done this a door will appear in the first zone, move into it and you will be transported to the next level.
NOTE : You only have to collect the flashing crystals, any that don't flash simply give you points.
Weapons...
In order to kill anything, you must acquire a weapon as far as I can remember they are : Bombs
Gun
Tomatoe
Custard pie
Scroll
Bug spray
Not all these weapons are guaranteed to kill all different types of nasty doofers.
Bonuses...
Some blocks around the map contain bonuses, especially those marked with a '?'. To release a bonus jump into the block from below (you must be vaguely near the centre of the block to do this).
I think this is all you need to know, the rest you will no doubt discover through trial and error, have fun.
